Customer Account Manager, Tesco & One Stop

Full time, permanent

Based in St Albans

 

Role purpose:

To develop and deliver the account Objectives and Budget within Tesco (Seasonal and Express) and One Stop Sweet Treats. Exclusive P&L responsibility for One Stop, Tesco Express and Tesco Seasonal. Develop, agree and implement a strategic Joint Business Plan which delivers on both external and internal objectives, working with both customers to efficiently manage the business and drive mutual growth.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • Build Category Joint Business Plans on One Stop, Tesco Seasonal and Tesco Express, delivering on internal and external objectives.
  • Manage, measure and improve Premier and customer profitability.
  • Maintain and update annual account plans to deliver corporate objectives.
  • Drive the accuracy and delivery of monthly sales forecasts - working with supply chain, forecasting and finance
  • Negotiate and deliver promotional programmes, ensuring promotions are communicated, within guidelines, forecasted, delivered and then evaluated in a timely manner.
  • Work with Marketing and Category to close distribution gaps and deliver New Product Launch plans (distribution, display, turnover targets)
  • Work with Category and Marketing to drive Customer range review delivery, and post review evaluation and future recommendations (specific to channel, i.e. Main Estate, Convenience and Online)
  • Establish and maintain appropriate pricing structure working within guidelines provided by Commercial Planning & Execution, delivering cost increases as required.
  • Review end to end initiatives to improve Premier and customer profitability
  • Manage, monitor and drive ROI of trade and promotional spend
  • Manage internal systems to plan and measure financials – TPM, BOBJ.
  • Ensure ‘good housekeeping’ via efficient ledger query management (price, invoice, claims)
  • Other projects as deemed appropriate to the role/team/individual

What we need from you

  • Solid account management experience within FMCG
  • Worked with the tiop four multinational supermarkets
  • P&L management of large accounts
  • Commercial awareness
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills, comfortable working cross functionally at all levels
  • Excellent planning, organisation and time management
