Salary circa £40,000 per annum.

Based in Lifton, Devon.

Permanent position, 37.5 hours per week.

 

Ambrosia is not your typical food business; in our 100+ years of manufacturing the nations favourites, we have evolved into a highly automated and technologically advanced site.

We have an exciting opportunity for a Project & CI Engineer to join our team in Lifton.   

 

You will be supporting the Engineering Project Manager and the site Continuous Improvement team in the delivery of Capex projects and CI initiatives.  You will also work closely with the CI Engineers to develop PLC/automation knowledge and understanding within the site.  

 

What you will be doing:

  • Supporting the CI team to achieve and deliver line and OEE improvements, 100-year fixes, waste and energy reduction and Group CI initiatives
  • Support the Project Manager with site CAPEX projects to ensure successful implementation and delivery
  • Work closely with the wider maintenance and engineering team on all Site shutdown planning controls and development
  • Drive engineering excellence initiatives as and when required, supporting site condition-based monitoring initiatives   
  • Provide for the future needs of the factory, and individuals, by promoting a high achiever philosophy through tailored personal development
  • Actively seek improvement project opportunities
  • Engage in supplier and contactor management both virtually and on site, ensuring effective relationships are built and maintained

 

What we need from you:

  • Minimum Level 3 Engineering qualification
  • Minimum 3 years Food & FMCG background
  • CAD literate & MS Project proficient would be advantageous although not essential
  • Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate both verbally and non-verbally
  • Ability to deliver results on time and cost in a pressurised and trade union environment
  • Strong negotiation skills to gain support to drive success across the business through people
  • Task focused with ability to deliver on time
  • Understanding customer needs and being proactive with actions
  • A self-starter, enthusiastic, positive, energetic and resourceful
  • CI Champion
  • Flexibility to work to project needs as required
