Artwork Origination Co-ordinator

Based in St Albans

Hybrid working - Office/WFH



  • Coordinating the artwork approval process from initial design through to files to printers (FTP).
  • Working on all Premier brands and own label artworks across all BUs.


What you'll be doing:

  • Working closely with internal cross functional teams, external agencies, and printers to ensure all printed packaging requirements are met.
  • Updating daily artwork priority report for key approver groups to ensure key project timings are achieved.
  • Keeping master artwork tracker updated of overall project activity.
  • Setting up projects on online approval system, briefing nominated repro agency and owning the artwork approval process through to FTP.
  • Chairing ad-hoc pre-production meetings with key project stakeholders
  • Checking and approving printer PDFs against approved artwork files.
  • Assigning barcodes to master data system (Mnotes) and colour info to item creation system (NIC ZPAC), ensuring 100% data accuracy.
  • Updating artwork approval system (FlowZone) with Brandbank completion dates.
  • Using a variety of retailer approval systems to access and approve own label artworks.
  • Attending regular project meetings, reporting on current artwork status and budget as necessary.
  • Ensuring all artwork quotes provided adhere to the agreed rate card and any additional spend is controlled and accurately tracked in a timely manner.
  • Ad hoc attendance of press passes for key product launches


What we need from you:

  • Formal Project Management training.
  • Keen eye for detail and quality.
  • Experience of artwork project coordination and origination.
  • Common-sense and proactive approach.
  • Thrives under pressure
  • Knowledge of print processes – flexo, litho, gravure.
  • Knowledge of origination processes – artwork critique. copy checking, repro grips/laying, colour management
  • High level of Administration and Organisation skills.
  • High level of Project Management skills.
  • IT Literate (MS Projects, Excel, Word, Adobe, SAP)
