Process Development Manager

Based in Worksop



  • To ensure that a dynamic programme of process and product innovation is created and delivered for our categories.
  • To provide process support and develop internal process expertise in the wider NPD teams.
  • To support the head of Creative Solutions in setting out the technical vision and strategy aligned with the business plans and strategy.


What you'll be doing?

  • To work with the Head of creative Solutions to set out a clear vision and strategy for the function.
  • To develop and maintain an in-depth understanding of our manufacturing base, their capabilities, systems, processing parameters.
  • To Develop & maintain an awareness of our supplier base, their capabilities and strengthens, for the benefit of both current business and future development initiatives
  • To manage and develop the product and process team to achieve the annual targets and continuously improve team performance
  • To champion product quality, in conjunction with the supply chain and site technical teams
  • To work closely with all business partners to deliver a well stocked innovation funnel feeding into both near in and long term business objectives.
  • To Identify opportunities within the business to drive core business objectives within ESG, Value and Technical efficiencies helping drive them through with our business partners.
  • To establish and maintain strong technical relationships with the respective manufacturing- site Technical team Providing support for site teams upon request


What we need from you?

  • Good, working knowledge of our product portfolio, development and processes
  • Degree or equivalent experience.
  • A good working knowledge of contacts within the food supply chain.
  • Proven experience of Technical / Product Development management in a commercially focussed FMCG environment
  • Innovative thinker with ability to generate/deliver value added solutions that positively affect the business performance
  • Committed management style who loves to coach, build and lead a team to success.
  • Impactful and adaptable negotiator capable of influencing stakeholders at all levels of the organisation
  • Effective and adaptable communicator with strong interpersonal and relationship building skills
  • Ability to develop and maintain good, collaborative, professional relationships between stakeholders.
  • Self aware and capable of taking accountability for development and career progression of self
  • High levels of self-motivation, a strong team player with the ability to positively challenge and inspire stakeholders to enhance performance
  • Resilient and persistent with the ability to act at pace and influence decisions
  • Strong personal organisation skills capable of initiating, prioritising and managing several projects simultaneously
