Antonia Oakley

Technical Operator, Worksop

Antonia undertook an apprenticeship as a technical operator, working on the OXO line at our factory in Worksop.

“This was a great way for me to get a qualification while working for a well-known food manufacturer.  Throughout my training, I was supported by my colleagues and a mentor whilst gaining valuable experience on the line. Every day was a learning day and, for anyone considering an apprenticeship, I'd say go for it ... there are few more fulfilling opportunities to study and learn new skills, whilst working.”

Harry Humby

Developer, Stoneham

Harry undertook his apprenticeship in Software Development at our IT centre in Stoneham.

“When I discovered the Software Developer apprenticeship with Premier Foods, I leapt at the opportunity.  The apprenticeship means I can learn and earn whilst gaining a qualification, which is incredibly useful from both an educational and financial aspect. I’ve been offered some brilliant opportunities as part of the programme, including working alongside developers, and never imagined being involved as I am in so many areas of the business ... which is why I love it at Premier Foods.”

Will Gray

Technician, Worksop

Will studied for his apprenticeship at our factory in Worksop, working as an Online Technician.

“I maintain food production lines that produce brands like Bisto and Saxa, carrying out routine and unplanned maintenance. I'm also involved with continuous improvement projects that add lots of variety and challenge to my day-to-day role.  The Premier Foods apprenticeship scheme gave me the opportunity to learn whilst earning and to gain a qualification that not only developed my knowledge of engineering but also developed me as a person and team member.”
