Our procurement teams run the management of all of our third-party supplier spend across the Premier Foods business, whether it's visiting a dairy farmer in Devon or meeting with an advertising agency in London.

As well as ensuring goods and services are delivered on time and to an outstanding quality and cost, they are at the forefront of identifying and delivering change across the group, winning multiple CIPS awards in the process.

We’re recognised as industry leaders in our approach to responsible procurement and our strong supplier relationships have enabled us to grow as a sustainable and ethical business. Our procurement managers work across a number of different categories from sourcing cocoa, sugar and sweeteners to energy and freight.

I joined Premier Foods in 2002 as a procurement graduate and was enrolled on to the Young Managers development Programme which, like our graduate scheme, combines learning with on-the-job experience. As a Head of Procurement, I lead a great high performing team, right from new graduates to experienced Heads of Category.

Sustainability has rightly taken an increasingly prominent role over the last few years, and most recently, we launched a new Enriching Life Plan which includes a set of ambitious targets centred around our people, planet and products.

It sounds like a cliché but the culture and values in Premier Foods lends itself to being able to work with lots of nice people! I am fortunate to be a part of the Premier Foods Senior Leadership Team, whilst also benefiting from a flexible working arrangement resulting in a positive work life balance.
