Purpose of the Role:

 

We’re looking for a highly organised and proactive Maintenance Scheduler to support the planning and delivery of our site maintenance programme. You’ll play a key role in ensuring all maintenance activities are delivered on time, to standard, and with minimal disruption to operations.

 

What will you be doing?

  • Develop, maintain and communicate structured maintenance schedules
  • Plan all maintenance activities using a proactive, preventative approach
  • Use CMMS systems (e.g. SAP) to manage workload, data and reporting
  • Support service contract management (renewals, service visits, performance)
  • Contribute to a continuous improvement culture (lean / efficiency focus)
  • Understand manufacturing efficiency (e.g. 6 losses) and production priorities
  • Attend and lead key planning meetings to align engineering and production goals
  • Work cross-functionally with engineering, production and external partners
  • Manage contractors on-site, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
  • Review risk assessments and method statements (RAMS)
  • Champion a zero‑accident culture by consistently demonstrating safe behaviors
  • Ensure all permit-to-work systems are followed and correctly authorised
  • Maintain the highest standards of food hygiene and safety compliance

 

What skills do I need?

  • Experience in maintenance planning/scheduling within a manufacturing environment
  • Good understanding of mechanical and electrical maintenance activities
  • Strong organisational and communication skills
  • Confident using CMMS systems (SAP preferred)
  • Knowledge of health, safety and food manufacturing standards
  • Ability to collaborate across teams and manage competing priorities
