The strategic International Business Unit was established four years ago to exploit our fantastic brands and capabilities across the globe.  The rapidly growing IBU has well established business in Australia, New Zealand, USA, Canada, South Africa, across Europe and the Middle East.  Our International business mainly focusses on the cake and sauces categories but is expanding in to Quick meal solutions and desserts.  The World is our oyster.

You will be responsible for the development of new products and reconfiguration of existing products, from idea to implementation, in support of multiple international projects. In additional support any regulatory requirements linked to product launching or in market. What an exciting challenge!

What we need from you?

• 1 to 3 Years in R&D in FMCG
• BSc Food Science/Technology or related degree, Intermediate Food Hygiene (preferred)
• Baking experience preferred
• Passionate about the challenge of product development
• Genuine interest in food and food trends

What you'll be doing amongst other things?

• Support the International R&D program to enable growth worldwide, with a primary focus on cakes
• Embedded in the Cake R&D team to ensure full alignment with the Group’s processes and food policies
• Lead test bakery and factory trials with operations, process and site technical teams at relevant sites.
• Liaise with all site functions to progress projects.
• Work alongside the marketing insight team to meet International consumers’ needs for both Sweet Treats and Grocery.
• Ensure all International NPD activities meet Premier Foods key brands’ essence
• Draw all product specifications to final status ensuring effective handover to the new product to the manufacturing sites following an appropriate post launch review, meeting International standards
