Based in Carlton, Barnsley, S71 3HF - The home of Mr Kipling

Salary - Circa £35k per annum
Permanent, Full time 

A full time, permanent opportunity has arisen at our Barnsley site for a Water Treatment Engineer to join the team. You will be responsible for ensuring the wastewater treatment plant, cooling towers, steam boilers and all associated site equipment are controlled and optimised whilst maintaining all compliance including L8 and final discharge to the sewerage system. Maintaining up to date documentation and offer advice and support to site management team.

The successful candidate will:

• Drive the effectiveness of the site Effluent Treatment Plant (EPT) Cooling Towers, Boiler operations and all associated water treatment across site, through the development & execution of a robust testing and correction process, ensuring that the day to day and periodic calibrations and consent measures are always adhered to.
• Provide chemical treatment analysis, monitoring and maintenance programme and also provide Legionella control recommendations and compliance with ACOP L8.
• Scheduling of all associated activities including sludge tankers, chemical storage and control and ordering of consumables.
• To lead on both internal and external audits for all things water treatment, gather information in preparation for site review meetings and log books to be compiled and maintained in preparation for audits.

What we need from you:

• Recognised Chemistry HND Level or equivalent  
• Practical knowledge of CI tools and techniques.
• Excellent Communication skills.
• IT literate
• Able to take own initiative and is solutions focused.
• Can do attitude. 
• Excellent time management skills.

Mon-Thurs 08:00-16:00 Fri 08:00-1400

Mon- Thurs 06:00-1400 Fri 06:00-12:00

One weekend in 6 sat/sun 06:00-10:00
