Ambrosia, here in Lifton, Devon, is a thriving, friendly and very welcoming environment to work and we’re currently looking to increase our maintenance engineering teams. This is a modern, highly automated and technologically advanced site that is poised to improve further our plant and equipment, and we need exceptional engineers to help us successfully achieve this. Working closely with the Senior Shift Engineer, successful applicants will take responsibility for delivering a high-quality Engineering service.

We’re looking for people that can: 

  • Contribute to the successful running of the production operation, helping us meet and beat our daily plans 
  • Maintain all site equipment and facilities to the highest standard by ensuring safe working practices are adhered to at all times 
  • Undertake planned & reactive maintenance work of both mechanical and electrical requirements within agreed timescales and to a high standard ensuring machine/process up-time meets business requirements 
  • Rapidly diagnose and resolve both mechanical, electrical plus basic control and instrumentation fault 
  • Complete a full range of maintenance activities across the entire installed asset base within the area that you are deployed in 
  • Continuously work to improve performance to deliver site efficiency and performance standards 

 

The right people will… 

  • Strong multi-engineering skills (essentially mechanical and electrical) and qualifications 
  • Be electrically qualified to a minimum of NVQ Level 3 with experience 
  • Good mechanical and electrical knowledge 
  • BTEC/ONC/HNC is desirable 
  • Experience with PLC/VSDs/Inverters  
  • Experience of 3ph motors, pumps and control systems 
  • Experience of pneumatic systems and controls  
  • Ability to work calmly and effectively ensuring safety first 
  • Ability to work under pressure 
  • Previous experience in a fast-paced engineering environment would be a distinct advantage 
  • Be able to work effectively with minimum supervision and within a team environment
