The role

We’re looking for a Credit Manager to lead our Accounts Receivable team within Premier Foods Business Services (PBS). You’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality, end‑to‑end credit and cash service, working closely with stakeholders across the business to support performance, controls and continuous improvement.

This is a leadership role with real impact — combining operational excellence, people management, and a strong customer focus.

What you’ll be responsible for

  • Leading and developing the Accounts Receivable team to deliver KPIs, SLAs and service standards
  • Managing credit control activities, cash forecasting and performance reporting
  • Acting as a subject matter expert for credit processes across PBS and the wider business
  • Ensuring compliance with financial controls, audit and legislative requirements
  • Driving continuous improvement in systems, processes and customer service
  • Building strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders
  • Deputising for the Head of Accounts Receivable when required

About you

You’ll be a confident people leader with strong credit control expertise and a collaborative approach.

Essential experience and skills:

  • Proven experience in credit control / accounts receivable, with at least 2 years’ experience
  • Previous team management or people leadership experience
  • Strong Excel skills and confidence working with financial data, KPIs and reporting
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Strong organisation, problem‑solving and decision‑making capability
  • Experience working with SAP (or similar ERP systems)

Desirable:

  • Experience working in a Shared Service Centre
  • FMCG or fast‑paced business environment experience
