Site Services Electrician & Sustainability Engineer

Based - Moreton, Wirral, CH46 1PR

Salary - up to £55,000 per annum

Monday - Friday, 08:30 - 17:00

 

 

 

A new opportunity has arisen at our site in Moreton, where we make Cadbury Mini Rolls, for a skilled and experienced Site Services Commercial Electrician with a strong commitment to sustainability. You will be responsible for installing, maintaining and repairing electrical systems and equipment on commercial production sites.

 

In addition to technical expertise, this unique role requires a proactive and driven individual to identify, design, install and incorporate sustainable practices and energy efficient solutions to support Premier Foods' wider ESG Strategy - our "Enriching Life Plan".

 

 

Do you offer?

 

  • Electrical Expertise - Licensed, time served electrician with a strong background in commercial electrical systems

What you will be doing:

 

  • Install, maintain, and repair electrical systems and equipment in commercial buildings, ensuring legal compliance throughout
  • Demonstrate awareness and understanding of substation operations, safety protocols, and sustainability considerations in substation design and maintenance
  • Ensure seamless handover of Low Voltage (LV) and High Voltage (HV) systems, maintaining documentation for efficient system management
  • Possess knowledge of compressors, their operation, and energy-efficient practices in compressor systems
  • Conduct comprehensive energy audits to identify opportunities for energy savings, carbon emission reduction and efficiency improvements
  • Using Site Metering and Targeting software, analyse energy consumption patterns and recommend strategies for reducing environmental impact
  • Collaborate with project teams to incorporate sustainable and energy-efficient electrical solutions into designs e.g. compressors, lighting, LV, substations, boilers, and refrigeration, HVAC, renewable energy systems
  • Generate reports on energy consumption, savings, and environmental impact for internal and external stakeholders.
