Premier Foods is a business with strong momentum and ambitious plans to accelerate within the UK and Internationally. We recently became a FTSE 250 business and are upskilling our senior leadership team for the next phase of growth. We are looking for a capable leader to take charge of our International Cake business- a business with strong momentum and ambition for future transformation.

 

  • This is a rare opportunity to land a truly “end-to-end” role with ownership for 3-10Y strategic plans alongside in-year delivery.
  • You will be responsible for defining and leading growth strategies on step changing our International Cake business
  • You will own the delivery of plans across our two iconic brands; Mr Kipling & Cadbury
  • You will set direction within a cross-functional central and in market teams.
  • You will have a team of 3 reporting into you (Marketing Controller, Senior Brand Manager & Assistant Brand Manager) and will support them to develop & deliver brand growth plans.
  • We need a strong leader who can set the pace for acceleration, developing this vision further and making it a reality.

You will be passionate about innovation and capable of defining & delivering scalable NPD platforms. You will be a strong team player, able to engage with a diverse set of stakeholders to achieve success.

What you'll be doing.....

 

  • Take full accountability for P&L, market share and consumer health metrics across your brand portfolio.

 

  • Define and execute the long-term growth strategy – identifying new markets for long term growth, establishing scale in relatively new markets (North America) and turbo changing growth in existing markets (Australia)

 

  • Develop strong brand & innovation plans to win in key markets.

 

  • Work closely with commercial strategy & retailer teams to build and execute strong commercial plans for your brands, influencing ranging decisions, defining key retailer ‘big bets’ and improving the quality of in-store execution on your brands.

 

  • Be the consumer expert for your categories. Partner with our Insights team to ‘bring the outside in’ on trends, consumer needs and competitive developments, to inspire fresh ideas.

 

  • Lead key management reviews in the business cycle for your brands, including monthly performance reviews, quarterly strategic reviews, annual business planning and long-term strategic plan & pipeline reviews – all directly with the Executive Team.

 

  • Form strong connections cross-functionally within the business, in particular within market teams, Category Management, Finance and R&D teams, to enable successful market delivery of winning products.

 

What we need from you....

 

  • 7+ years successful experience within a market leading FMCG organisation. Top performer with future growth potential.

 

  • Ideal candidate will have strong foundational Brand Management experience, with good amount of time spent delivering business results within a local market, as well as innovation & brand creative development.

 

  • High level of commercial and analytical capability; comfortable developing and presenting business cases in an organisation which can move quickly to make investment decisions on the back of sound quantitative evidence.

 

  • Strong bias for action and high degree of personal accountability.

 

  • Proven ability to work cross-functionally and leading projects to successful in-market delivery.

 

  • A strategic thinker, who is focused on the consumer and places them at the core of everything that they do.

 

  • An individual who has a track record of getting the best out others and can coach & develop their teams.

 

  • Entrepreneurial mindset – doesn’t accept the status quo and looks for different, better ways of doing things.

 

  • Global experience is preferred but not mandatory.
