Part-time Brand Manager - Own Label - Seasonal

Based in St Albans/Hybrid work from home

3 days p/w - 22.5 hours



This is an exciting and varied role within the own label cake business unit (turnover c. £40m). Working within the seasonal portfolio with major UK Supermarkets, supporting the Customer Brand Controller on the own label cake portfolio.


Striving for results through cross functional working, this role is pivotal in the successful management of both the existing product portfolio and new product launches


What you'll be doing:

  • You are the key point of contact for own label enquiries and development from UK Retailers
  • You are responsible for leading & working with cross functional project teams (NPD/Factory/Procurement/Artwork)
  • Full financial analysis and P&L creation with recommendations being presented to the wider team
  • Full management and delivery of product launches, EPD projects and on pack changes
  • A customer facing element to the role with involvement / responsibility for customer meetings, product submissions and site visits
  • Preparation and delivery of customer presentation decks, linking in with the category team and understanding the customers latest position / performance
  • Keeping abreast of latest trends and challenging the factory / business to develop on trend products within our capability/OL strategy
  • Day to day responses to ad-hoc retailer and business requests including benchmarking, samples and store visits


What we need from you:

  • Ideally experience in own label product management – leading projects
  • Cross functional working
  • Working with UK retailers
  • FMCG background
  • Ideally similar sector experience
  • Development/ launch of new products
  • Understanding consumer and customer need
  • Enthusiasm & passion to make a real difference

  • Self-starter with the ability to take ownership & work proactively

  • Ability to manage complex cross functional projects

  • Ability to work at pace and with tight deadlines

  • A people person, with a desire to build relationships and influence

  • Strong presentation and communication skills

  • Strong commercial acumen as well as the ability to think creatively

  • Attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
