Early Careers Advisor

Based in St Albans/Hybrid WFH 50% with some travel to other sites, off site apprenticeship meetings, schools, colleges, universities, careers fairs and training providers. This may involve occasional overnight stays. Willingness and ability to travel is a key requirement.

As our next Early Careers Advisor, you will be responsible for supporting the L&D Business Partner with the management of our Early Careers programmes. Working with external training providers and other partnerships to achieve our ESG ambitions to provide a consistent early careers pipeline of talent into Premier Foods, with particular focus on supporting those from disadvantaged groups and those with STEM backgrounds. 

 

Your remit will include the day-to-day administration of the company’s apprenticeships including recording our Levy payments; ensuring that all relevant apprentice documentation is in place and managing progress reports from training providers. You will assist with the organisation of careers events at schools, colleges and universities, attending these events where possible. There'll be some PR and internal promotion of Schemes as well as the recruitment of apprentices and liaison with training providers and recruitment managers with vacancy adverts, shortlisting and the interview and assessment process. You'll also co-ordinate our graduate development programme which includes planning their annual induction, helping them to have the best possible start to their career with us.

 

The Key Requirements...

 

  • Some experience of early careers and a passion for early talent development
  • Strong interpersonal skills, ability to build relationships with apprentices, graduates and stakeholders
  • High level of accuracy and attention to detail
  • Proficient in the use of Microsoft applications such as Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint to produce presentations, spreadsheets and information sheets
