An exciting commercial leadership role has been created within our international team to optimise our commercial planning across our global markets.  As Senior Commercial Planning Manager you will work across our key international categories (primarily, Cake and Cooking Sauces) and be responsible for ensuring strong plans are in place across our key territories, namely Australia, USA, Canada, Europe & the Middle East.  This will be delivered through the creation and implementation of Territory Execution Success Models.  The outputs of this role will form the basis for our international business to achieve its blend of internal and external objectives including turnover, profit, innovation, and market share.

 

The Key Requirements...

  • Accountable for the creation & implementation of Execution Success Models (success blueprints) for our key global markets and categories – ensuring strong trade plans are in place
  • Requirement to work closely with the market teams to nurture positive ways of working & engagement – will require flexibility to accommodate meetings with varying time zones (namely Melbourne and Chicago)
  • Own the monthly cycle - continuously looking at improving ways of working to be more efficient across our global markets.
  • Accountable for working with account & brand teams to build contingency and gap closure plans if shortfall vs. targets in forecast.
  • Analyse and review business forecast & key issues in business planning process influencing Territory Managers and Account Managers to drive outperformance.
  • In conjunction with Country Managers, help develop & drive execution of promotional strategy and guidelines across all brands / channels within the categories & territories.
  • Working closely with territory teams to design pack, price & promotional architecture specific to territory channel and format.
  • Ensure Customer & Territory strategies are integrated into brand plans by influencing Brand Directors.
  • Responsible for translating brand & category strategies into plans to deliver budgeted sales, profit and NPD targets.
  • Improve return on trade investment across territories, ensuring investment is purposed on a more-for-more basis.
  • Category and territory expansion will be key pillars to our international growth – you will curate strong launch plans for such launches (inclusive of pack, price and promo architecture specific to channel and format), working closely with the wider cross functional teams, namely category, sales and brand marketing.
  • Accountable for the commercialisation of NPD including pricing, promotional support and ensuring execution through the sales team achieving objectives.
  • Support the creation of the sell stories / decks for NPD (not writing every page but ensuring it meets the needs of the business)
  • Lead and develop a team of 4 reports within the Project Management team, ensuring projects are managed in line with PF gate process.  You will act as escalation point and manage issues cross functionally to maintain project delivery.
  • Support broader cross functional alignment by liaising with FGM’s, procurement, supply/demand planning as necessary.  Commercial point person for the management of supply challenges.
  • Responsible for Mondelez Planning & Reporting, both internally and externally with Mondelez
