Working hours 8:30am -4:30pm 37.5 hours per week

We are recruiting for a Payroll and Administration Assistant to join the HR team at our site in Stoke on Trent.  We are the home of the nations favourite cakes, Mr Kipling!

 

If you have got a keen eye for detail, enjoy data input and have a background in HR/Payroll administration, then this role may be for you...

 

What you will be doing: 

  • Completion of payroll processing in line with weekly and monthly deadlines
  • Clearing of daily working time exceptions / errors
  • Inputting of absence into the system (including Fit notes, Return to Works and daily absence occasions)
  • Monitoring of the HR inbox and responding to all queries
  • Processing of employee changes, overtime and benefits
  • Holding payroll clinics around the time of payroll production.
  • Manage the internal systems ensuring they are all kept up to date 
  • Supporting the HR team with recruitment and onboarding/offboarding administration

 

What we need from you:

  • Demonstrable experience of working in an administrative/office role
  • Previous experience/understanding of UK payroll legislation
  • Proficient in all Microsoft Office packages and able to easily navigate HR/payroll systems
  • Excellent time management skills and able to prioritise multiple work loads
