We’re looking for a Head of Architecture to lead our Enterprise Architecture function and play a key role in shaping how technology enables Premier Foods’ future.  

Reporting to the Director of Information Security & Enterprise Architecture, you’ll combine strategic leadership with technical authority, taking ownership of our Architecture capability across Business Applications, SaaS, Data & Analytics, Cloud, Infrastructure, Networks, Cyber Security, AI, Integrations and Operational Technology.  

This is an influential leadership role with the opportunity to shape our technology strategy, develop our architectural capability, and ensure technology decisions support both our business priorities today and where we want to go next.  

What you’ll be doing  

• Leading and developing the Architecture function, providing both people with leadership and technical direction.  

• Acting as the senior technical authority for architecture across Premier Foods.  

• Owning our architecture principles, standards, governance, and assurance processes.  

• Helping shape enterprise technology strategy, roadmaps and target-state architectures.  

• Providing leadership and direction for complex, cross-domain and strategically significant technology initiatives.  

• Chairing and leading architecture governance, including the Architecture Review Board.  

• Managing architecture demand, priorities and resources across projects, programmes and operational initiatives.  

• Leading internal Architecture colleagues and managing third-party architecture partners and contractors.  

• Building trusted relationships with senior stakeholders across Technology, Security, Operations, Business Partnering and OT Engineering.  

• Keeping ahead of emerging technologies and trends to identify opportunities and inform our future technology strategy.  

What we need from you  

• Significant experience leading Architecture teams within a complex enterprise environment.  

• Strong experience across Enterprise Architecture, Solution Architecture, Technology Strategy or Architecture Governance.  

• Experience acting as a senior technical authority across multiple technology domains.  

• Knowledge of recognised architecture frameworks such as TOGAF, SABSA or equivalent.  

• Experience developing architecture standards, reference architectures, roadmaps, and governance frameworks.  

• Strong leadership skills with experience managing and developing highly skilled technology professionals.  

• The ability to balance business priorities, cost, service continuity, technical complexity, and cyber risk.  

• Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, with the ability to make complex technology decisions clear to technical and non-technical audiences.  

• A collaborative and pragmatic approach, coupled with the confidence to challenge and make sound decisions.  

• Experience within manufacturing, supply chain, engineering or Operational Technology environments would be an advantage.
