Join our onsite catering team and help us deliver great food, great service, and a great experience for our colleagues and visitors.
About the Role
We’re looking for an organised, energetic and customer‑focused Canteen Catering Administrator/Assistant to support our busy onsite catering operation. You’ll split your time between hands‑on catering tasks and essential administrative duties that keep the canteen running smoothly, safely and in line with compliance standards.
This is a brilliant role for someone who enjoys variety, teamwork, and a fast‑paced environment.
What You’ll Be Doing
Catering & Service
- Preparing food and carrying out basic cooking for daily service.
- Keeping the kitchen, counters and restaurant areas clean and safe.
- Clearing and resetting the staff restaurant.
- Providing excellent customer service.
- Using the till and card payment systems.
Administration
- Maintaining canteen documentation, including legal compliance and food safety records.
- Creating, reviewing and updating Standard Operating Procedures and Risk Assessments.
- Updating menus and price lists.
- Producing and sharing canteen communications and notices across site.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
- Strong administrative skills; confident using MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Energetic, confident and hands‑on approach.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Flexible to support alternative shift patterns when needed.
- Good attention to detail and a methodical approach.
- Strong work ethic and self‑motivation.
Desirable
- Experience in catering, hospitality or food production.
- Basic Food Hygiene Certificate / Food Safety Level 2 (or willingness to obtain).
