Join our onsite catering team in a key adminstration role supporting the smooth running of our canteed deliving great food, great service, and a great experience for our colleagues and visitors.
About the Role
We are seeking a highly organised and detail-oriented Canteen Administrator to take the lead on administrative processes within our busy onsite catering operation.
This role is primarily administration-focused, with some hands-on support in the canteen as needed. You will play a vital role in ensuring all documentation, compliance, and communication processes are accurate, up to date, and effectively managed.
What You’ll Be Doing
Administration
- Maintain and manage all canteen documentation, including food safety and legal compliance records
- Create, review, and update Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Risk Assessments
- Ensure all records are accurate, audit-ready, and aligned with company and regulatory standards
- Update menus, allergen information, and price lists
- Produce and distribute canteen communications, notices, and updates across site
- Support reporting, data tracking, and general administrative tasks
- Use Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint to produce clear and professional documentation
Operational Support
- Provide occasional support with food preparation and service during busy periods
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and safety standards in kitchen and dining areas
- Support customer service and basic till operations when required
What We’re Looking For
Essential Skills & Experience
- Strong administrative background with excellent organisational skills
- Confident user of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
- High attention to detail and ability to manage documentation accurately
- Methodical, proactive, and able to prioritise workload effectively
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Flexible and willing to support operational tasks when needed
Desirable
- Experience in a catering, hospitality, or food production environment
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance requirements
- Food Hygiene / Food Safety Level 2 certification (or willingness to obtain)
