Product Development Technologist

Open to recent Food Technology Graduates looking to start work in June 2022

Based in Worksop

 

Purpose:

Responsible for the development of new products via project work from ideas through to implementation.

 

What you'll be doing:

  • To deliver or support the delivery of new and existing product development for the related product area.
  • Support pilot plant trials and factory trials with operations, process and site technical teams at relevant sites. Liaise with all site functions to progress projects.
  • Support generation of document control and process relating to project.
  • Project team member representing development.
  • Monitor current trends and consumer food behaviors.
  • To work with the S&PG team to further consumer and sensory understanding of category
  • Understand the ingredients relating to specific products and work with suppliers.
  • Maintain contact with internal and external organization to ensure issues are assessed and acted upon accordingly.
  • Link to the technical support function at all sites of manufacture (internal and co-manufacture) to ensure efficient delivery of all programs.

 

What we need from you:

  • 1-2 years development experience preferable
  • Knowledge and awareness of ingredient functionality (Desirable)
  • Knowledge/ experience of differing manufacturing processes (e.g. pasteurisation/sterilisation)
  • BSc Food Science/Technology or related degree, Intermediate Food Hygiene (Essential) HNC Food Science/Technology, BTEC Food Science. Other non-food related science degree/ qualifications would be considered.
