We are really excited to be offering a permanent Monday-Friday, days-based role at our Worksop site within our Site Services Engineering team.

You will typically work Monday to Friday 7:00-15:00 and the salary for the role is £47,000.00 per annum

 

As a Site Services Lead Technician, you will maintain a safe and operational site, as well as maintain monitoring equipment for energy management, security, effluent, compressors, FLT’s and assist in the site Continuous Improvement Strategy. Reporting into the Site Services Manager you will work alongside the Site Services team, and you will be key to providing proactive maintenance to our site, as well as being a key player in project work, improving our production plant and other site buildings e.g. offices, boiler house and amenities.

 

Here at Worksop, we have four factories on site that produce a variety of well-known brands and products including:

  • OXO
  • Sauces - including Sharwoods and Homepride
  • Batchelors Supernoodles
  • Sharwoods Poppadoms
  • Bisto gravy granules
  • SAXA salt

 

Our variety of operations and processes include extrusion, agglomeration, pasteurisation, frying technologies, as well as a variety of packing mediums and technologies.

Our Engineering team of 70 have opportunities to move across factories to continually develop and build their knowledge of our site

What you’ll be doing:

Working as part of the Engineering Site Services team to deliver site utilities. The successful candidate will be making informed decisions based on their key skills/knowledge and providing engineering leadership including but not limited to: -

  • Working with the Site Services Manager will act as the lead for the site infrastructure team in delivery of the site services daily team objectives.
  • Be proactively involved in site energy reduction strategies
  • Active involvement in the services & facilities teams to maintain site buildings and services.
  • Coordinate the delivery of SAP TPM activities.
  • Administer the management of the Site Services Engineering budget.
  • Continuously look for supplier optimisation and maintain sufficient minimal inventories.
  • Support any planned maintenance programmes with consideration to optimising performance.
  • Ensure capability of plant is optimised for the needs of the business. This includes the provision and use of utilities (gas, water, electricity, steam, compressed air, effluent treatment & removal) while complying with environment legislation.
  • Proactively support improvement and cost savings whilst maintaining the ability to meet varying and increasing demands of the business.
  • Support the structure, culture, and behavioural values of Site Services to ensure that the factory is provided with adequate and timely resources.
  • Maintain effective dialogue with external stakeholders including Utility Suppliers, Legislative Bodies, Suppliers and Contractors.

 

What we need from you:

Essential

  • HNC – Electrical or Mechanical
  • Multiskilled with Electrical bias
  • SAP knowledge – TPM Modules
  • Food Hygiene & IOSH/NEBOSH qualifications
  • HACCP level 2
  • WAH, Confined Space and FLT trained
  • Experience of Steam boilers, air compressors and MV electrical distribution systems

Desirable

  • HNC – Electrical or Mechanical
